Dartmouth abolishes student loans for all families who successfully apply for financial aid

Dartmouth College has abolished student loans for families that qualify for financial aid, after well-heeled donors provided $120million for the initiative. The new initiative means anyone who successfully applies for financial aid will not be required to take it out as a loan, and will instead be given a scholarship. Madison Brooks Video Shines Light on Moments Before Her Death

A video of 19-year-old Madison Brooks appearing to chase after four men, shortly before she was allegedly raped and then fatally injured by a passing car, has been published by local network WAFB. Brooks was reportedly attacked in the early hours of January 15 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before being hit by a ride share car. The Louisiana State University (LSU) student was taken to a local hospital, where she died several days later from her injuries. Read More...
